Converter Fan

My 2019 248RSBW has a WFCO converter .
I could have swore the converter fan was running all the time when plugged into shore.
Yesterday I moved the trailer and plugged it again and noticed the fan ran a short time then turned off.Had lights and TV on.

Checked the batteries while plugged in and both were at 13.6V.

Should the converter fan be on all the time when plugged into shore?

It only runs as needed since it is thermally controlled.

But it could run if the current usage is high which generates heat, If you have many lights on it can cause it to run more than normal.

Also the ambient temp comes into play.

Not a bad idea to take off the plastic front panel and check to see if you need to clean the fan blades or insides. If it is totally choked with dust bunnies it may be overheating. Or your thermostat controller for the fan may be bad or heading that way. I have all led lights, pump and furnace fan and rarely hear it run except when the battery is low and it is putting a big charge on it.

As Norty said, if usage is high. Ours will be silent with several lights on etc, but flip on the outside awning LED strip and the fan comes to life. Flip them off and it’s silent again.
