Fried JAYCOMMAND Node

So it turns out they don’t like 24 volts(an accident) and my node is fried. BMPRO doesn’t sale to customers and Jayco will only go through a dealer. Anyone got a recommendation on a dealer who’s willing to order parts direct? The dealer I got the rv from kinda screwed me over on some stuff so I really don’t wanna deal with them.

Other option is to just delete the jaycommand system and replace it with manual switches since all the wiring is right there anyway.

2020 Jay Flight 24RBS

Thanks
Shawn

Can you find a local RV repair shop that is authorized for BMPRO? That was how I had a Coleman AC unit replaced under warranty when the dealer couldn't even get the units in last summer.

Unfortunately jaycommand is exclusive to jayco so only jayco can get the modules. I’m waiting to hear back from a dealer in Arizona that sells parts over the internet but I’m leaning towards just removing the system. I’ll post a write up on here if I do as I suspect I’m not the only one who might need to do this.

Thanks
Shawn

They got back to me this morning. Around $600 for the node. I’m just gonna remove the system. Right now I’m looking at new switches for the slide, awning, stabilizer jacks and lights, a new dometic control box and thermostat and a tank monitor panel for water heater, pumps and tanks. All in will be less than half of the price of the new node.

Thanks
Shawn

I have my suspicion on how 24v went to the Node but if it where me I would replace the Node and be cautious about supplied power. I really like this system and it will take some real time and probably frustration to replace with manual switches. In time I certainly could change my mind about this system so please document how you did it if you do move forward.

So our new 2022 28.5 RSTS has been having issues with the BMPro controller not consistently working from the get go. The dealer says there was a loose wire in the node (Whatever/wherever that is). It also had a meltdown on the original solar controller, reason unknown. Would that have smoked this node and they are not diagnosing the situation fully?

I sure like simple!

It seems like more and more problems come along with more and more labor saving devices.
But that is just me.

It's a good thing they still sell manually controlled impact actuated hammers
