norcold too cold even when unplugged!
I'm at my whit's end! My old Norcold 682 stopped cooling, and I ended up replacing both the power and control boards - both were old and rough looking. Then I replaced the normal/storage/high-humidity switch. And it started cooling up nicely, but then started freezing everything! I'd replaced the thermister with a "snip the tip" one which had been working fine, and I went ahead and replaced the Eyebrow board because the light's on it weren't even coming on. Then I replaced the thermister with another of the same type. Today I figured I'd defrost it completely and see if I could reset it, but even with the AC unplugged and the eyebrow set to OFF, it still felt like it was on and cooling! Just now I went out and unplugged what I think is a DC cable into the power board. It's not running on propane, and I've got the propane valve set to off.
So I've replaced pretty much everything! I'm wondering if I might have mis-wired something - I'm especially thinking the normal/light-off/high-humidity switch. I tried to be careful pulling it out so I could make sure it wire everything back correctly, but the wires were too short and half of them popped off when I started pulling the switch out. Is there a possible scenario were that could be wired up to cause this zombie-fridge-wants-to-live phenomenon?
