Oven replacement

Goodbye, Furrion gas oven, hello Ninja Foodie Digital Air-fry Oven. (We all know that "Furrion" comes from the Latin root for "Piece of crap").


For less than $140, the oven will hold an accurate temperature reliably (the Furrion would not) and will pre-heat to 400 F in the time it takes to open a frozen pizza box. It toasts well, broils, bakes, dehydrates and will air-fry tortilla chips or french fries perfectly.


When we were at Camping World the other day for some minor warranty repairs and recalls, we had them remove the Furrion oven and cap the gas line. We just asked them to junk it, sell it or shoot it.


Now I just have to add some trim and stain. Maybe use some peel and stick floor tiles left over from ripping up the carpet in the slides.


Next go the recliners and couch...

Great idea Angus! And you end up with an extra shelf. I'm assuming there's a 120v outlet available? Our recliners are a mess. The faux crap is peeling off. Couldn't imagine what they would be like if we had kids!

Right now, the electrical is awkward; I have a short 15A appliance extension cord to reach the outlet under the microwave. Not optimal, but I'll work something out. The extra shelf is about as much room as the old oven itself, which we used to store snacks (Lord knows you couldn't cook with it.)


For the furniture, we have the same problem with peeling, and we can't blame the seven pets. Joan has been following a few RV decorating discussion groups and many people choose Ikea or another outfit called Home Reserve. Their stuff ships in pieces so your can get it in the door and some of the sofas and chairs have storage spaces under the cushions.


One advantage of the new house is that the county offers free monthly take-away service for any kind of appliances or furniture that you can dump on the front curb. That's how we'll lose the Jayco furniture.

We did the same thing, removed the oven and put in our electric Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro... built a small shelf it can sit on, put in a double outlet on the existing 20 Amp outlet that was in behind the Microwave in the kitchen slide where the oven is mounted (we have as 383FKWS)...just don't run the microwave or oven at the same time...works great and have more space underneath to put attachments/racks, etc...AND reduced the weight in the slide by removing the oven...

We removed both top burners and oven. Purchased an induction element burner and save on propane. I added two drawers instead of the oven we never used. Much better now.

So, this is an old thread, but I have a question. Every Air Fryer/toaster oven combination that I've found clearly says "DO NOT put in an enclosed space or under a cabinet."
Most all of these units vent very hot air out side vents.
Has that been a problem/issue for anyone?

Not in an RV, but we have one in the house. It's on the kitchen counter with cabinets above it, and it isn't a problem. Sort of an egg-shaped thing. Ours doesn't vent hot air, just a heating element inside, with a fan to super-circulate the heat around the food. I'm not sure about the other styles out there.
