Water Heater Too Hot!

We have a 2018 Octane 161. The water heater heats the water to a skin scalding temperature and we don't see any way to turn it down. Is there a way to turn down the water heater?
Thanks!

There is a thermostat in these things that is non-adjustable. That being said, I saw another post mentioning an adjustable thermostat for the Atwood water heaters. If you have that model, this may be a viable option.

Or you can crack the middle bypass valve and mix some cold in. Others have done that with success.

Install an inline mixing valve - or perhaps the one that is installed is malfunctioning. How does Jayco get 12gals of hot water out of a 10gal hot water tank? Set the high temp setting higher and install a mixing valve that tempers the hot water by mixing it with the cold water to a predetermined output temperature.

JAYCO has nothing to do with the temperatures, they buy the water heaters and those settings come from either Atwood or Suburban..

It can take a little fettling to find how much to crack the bypass valve to find the sweat spot. Then grab a sharpie, and mark the valve. The sweet spot can change over the course of the season based on the inbound water temp.
