Winterize Fridge/Washer Dryer !

Our 36U has a Whirlpool residential fridge and the Splendide washer/dryer. Do these need winterizing ? Neither manual mentions it. I'm planning to call both manufacturers to confirm but wanted to check here also. Have only had this motor home for two weeks so still learning. So far very few problems and they are minor. Thanks !

Yes and yes. Not sure how to.do the fridge, but the washer owner's manual gives step by step instructions, at least our's did.

Thx Grumpy. I read the manual from cover to cover. Guess I'll look again.

If you have a Splendide combo unit this attachment might help.

Thx Robbyr. That's exactly what I was looking for. Could not find that in the manual.

Our TT has a residential fridge with ice maker. We do winterize it. Some say don't put anti-freeze in the ice maker or water dispenser. Our TT was delivered to the dealer in early March and was winterized with anti-freeze, including the ice maker. We just make ice cubes and toss them for a few days.

Anyway, the water dispenser is easy, just put a glass under it until pink comes out. The ice maker might be more time consuming. Check the manual to see if you can force the ice maker to demand water. If so, do it a few times until pink comes out. I can't figure out how to do it on our ice maker, so I just let it demand water on its own for about 12 hours. That is more than enough to get all the water out and anti-freeze in.
