F-250 most stolen vehicle in Kansas City

This story came on our local news last night. Thieves are targeting F-250s so they can steal and tow larger items (construction equipment, primarily). This makes me a bit nervous but on the up side for me, they are targeting diesel trucks. https://fox4kc.com/2019/05/15/group-...among-thieves/

They at least know that a F250 gasser will not tow a heavy load! LOL

No, I'm serious. I have been looking at specs and can't find a gas powered 1 ton vehicle that I would feel comfortable towing my rig in a SRW.

I was hoping to see some specs on the new Ford gas engine I have been reading about.

A group called "Stolen KC" says numerous stolen Super Duty's had their engines removed before being dumped. Maybe the resale value of certain PSD engines is enough to push people just to steal a truck and not commit other crimes with it.

We had a lady in my small town that had her F-250 stolen. Apparently the older Fords can easily be hot-wired with some alterations in the fuse box. It was gone a week and somebody "anonymously" gave her a tip on where it was but asked she pay them $500 for a reward...she did because it was cheaper than replacing the vehicle but it certainly pissed off out police department.
