If you are looking to stay in a Ford, I suggest you join the Ford Truck Enthusiast Forum. There is a vast amount of helpful information to answer all your specific questions.

Great suggestion, I joined a couple months back and it’s what led me to my decision and how I learned about x plan pricing and such by joining either mustang club of America of EAA.org.

Just picked up a 2021 F350 with the 6.2 and 10 speed! Love it so far. My first tow will be a 5 hour tow from NY to NH April 3rd!!!

Now the 6.2 tows great but feels more of a pig around town.
Its interesting to me that the E450 cutaway uses the 6 speed along w/ the 7.3l V8. I’m anxious to see how it all comes together whenever my motorhome arrives.

I didn’t know they have the option of the 10 speed with a 6.2, o bought a 2020 F250 and I asked for that option and they told me that they didn’t have it, unless it is only on the F350’s

I believe you have to go F350 to get it with 6.2.

You have to upgrade to the 7.3L engine in the F-250 to get the 10-speed. The 6.2L only has the 6-speed. F-350 both engines get the 10-speed and no option for the 6-speed.

Jayco is telling us that the Eagle HTs are half ton towable. I just bought a 24RE which is the smallest/lightest of them, and am pulling it with a 2021 F250/6.2/373. It's adequate but certainly not too much truck. I searched high and low for a half-ton that even on paper would do the job . . .

Your 24RE published pin weight of 1,495# eliminates most 1/2 tons once you put any other cargo in the truck or camper. Once you leave the dealers lot, it is your liability now.
