It seems that I recall some discussion about getting a thin plate for the B&W hitch due to clearance?

Check on it before you buy one.

I had to take it out of my bed today so I could remove my bed liner since I'm getting rails installed tomorrow. Didn't have anyone to help so used trailer ramps to get it down and just left it on the ramps which were still on the tailgate. Then used a come along to get it back up the ramps into my bed. May be better ways but it worked for me!

Love my B&W Companion. (but did get an engine hoist so us old folks could more easily get it out).

I have a 36ft 2002 Montana 5th wheel I use a 1996 ford f250 crewcab with a 460 short bed I have a super glide I can jack knife the unit doesn't hit cab it is a special hitch and has a special plate on the pin. You can not use a regular hitch to hook up. I also have a Greyhawk sometimes I don't like to get out to go to the rest room

I used the Anderson Ultimate Hitch for about a year. with the Jayco Eagle HT 28.5 that was in the same weight class as your referred too! I did put a camera pointing down to the hitch which made it way easier to line it up. I really never pulled it out, except when I sold the 5er. Was pretty easy to move around. I am 72 years!

Otherwise, I had no problems with it, but sold the 5er earlier this year. BTW I had never used any other kind of 5th Wheel hitch.

I pull a Jayco Pinnacle with a Ram 3500 SRW with short bed. I have used a PullRite easy glide and it performs flawlessly. The only issue to be aware of is it is heavy. It’s mass is due to the heavy duty construction used in the manufacture of the hitch. I would recommend it without hesitation.

The one I use is 3/16" which is pretty thick and I have no problems with my B&W hitch.

We have the short bed on our F250. We also have the MorRyde orbital pin box on our Eagle HT. We use a B&W Companion hutch and could not be happier. Does what we want when we want and no chucking. Easy to remove from truck when not needed.

The Patriot has 3 height adjustments. Top one is 19". Hoping that is high enough!

I have a Pullrite slider. I transferred it to my longbed F350 from my short bed F250. I’m getting a lot of bucking noise now, is there anything I can do about that?

Do you get much chucking with your Pullrite superglide?

I upgraded from a Reese to the B&M Patriot. Love it. Much easier to slide when needed. Great construction and service. Ordered thru local dealer and assembled/ installed myself

Never too much. I had a Reese 16K with a slider for my first three 5ers; 24.5 feet, 28.5 feet and 32 Feet. When I connected the 32 footer at about 12000 pounds loaded I, somehow, bent the rear stop plate and the hitch would not close until I pounded it straight with a 3-pound hammer.

I switched to a Reese 20K head; kept the slider and frame and have not had any problms since. I am now towing a 35 footer @ about 14000 pounds with no problems and no incidents.

Good luck. DON'T cut CORNERS with SAFETY.

I also have Curt Q20, yes heavy but can easily take apart to 2 pieces, so not bad to remove.
