I got it back from the body shop Friday. I took it camping Friday night and got back Monday night. I then loaded all my tools I use for work back into it.

Changed the oil and replaced all the filters. Boy, the air filter was dirty and it was replaced less than 10k miles ago! Next week it’s in for a front alignment check. Thanks Arizona highways!

After nearly three years towing this FW, I decided to lower the FW hitch on my TV a little this morning before we left the campground. It was always a little nose high. Now, it’s level or as close as it’ll ever be. I still have 6.5 inches of clearance.

Got the front windshield replaced due to a tress crack in the lower left corner. First camping trip of the season in a couple of weeks...

Took it to the Ford dealer this afternoon for a master cylinder recall. I received a letter from Ford to get it done but the strange thing is it wasn't included in the NHTSA recall notice, at least not yet. Any time someone wants to throw free new parts at my vehicles, I'm happy to oblige them.

Topped off with 26 gallons of diesel — $180 and that’s with fuel prices dropping lately. I remember when the pump would shut off at $100. No more.

Gave it a light bath, really to clean the box, but also to take the heavy dust off this black Beast. Looks good at 15 feet.

Washed mine yesterday, took it to the tire center today to have a pre-trip safety check done. All is in good shape for our cross-country trip leaving this Saturday. California to Delaware, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, South Dakota and back in 30 days. I'm looking forward to everything, except the fuel bill.

Installed series supplemental 8,000lb Derail transmission oil cooler. Factory cooling sends trans fluid first to the coolant tube in passenger side radiator tank, then to an air flow cooler with a thermostat exit valve to return the fluid to the trans at approximately 160 degrees. The additional cooler fit nicely on the driver's side of the hood latch support, and the supplied 7/16th high pressure hose fit perfectly. To put the cooler in line, removed the hose from the factory cooler from the radiator outlet, tied into the added cooler and outlet into factory cooler to still provide thermostatic control. It was 112 degrees Today, so it involved LOTS of sweat. But trans temp constant 164 degrees at 70 in this heat. Used to run 170-175 not towing...we'll see what happens when towing at a later date.

Wow. That sounds like a pretty in depth install.
Mine was a simple task today. I had been using an Edge CS2 monitor with my Banks Pedal monster. Today I went all Banks and installed an Idash. So far, I really like it. Sits closer to me, so easy to reach the buttons and I like the integration of the Pedal Monster vs using my phone to control that.

Nothing major like a tranny cooler or tuner, but I’m always looking for things to make life easier. I used to stash a roll of paper towels in the tote that holds various lubricants, fluids, squeegees etc. But it meant pulling off the lid to get to it especially with grimey hands. I picked up a two-piece magnetic paper towel holder at Harbor Freight for $15 and put it on the inside fender right by the tailgate. Super handy for grabbing a towel to check oil, wash windows, wipe my hands etc. and I can move it out of the way if necessary. This is one time I’m glad I don’t have one of those new aluminum bodies!

I changed the air filter on my F450. I ordered a replacement filter off of Amazon and even though the part number matched it would not fit in the filter box. It seemed the specs were off just enough not to fit. I bought a Motorcraft filter from my local Ford dealer and the filter went right into place. I learned the hard way to stick to OE when buying replacement parts.

Installed a set of Bilstein series B6 4600 shocks (front #24-196437, rear #24-196444).
TV has a little over 50K miles (80% plus towing), and past history the Bilstein 4600's performed great on prior TV's.

I'm going to do this as well to my Ford but I may go with the 5100's. Even though they're listed for lifted trucks, they work just fine for stock height and the color is a lot better, lol.

Yes.......,
I anticipate the same positive improvements that I experienced using the same Bilstein B6 4600's on my prior 2500HD...., specifically better TV handling characteristics when towing my TT.
My prior Eagle TT had a 1,300lb loaded tongue weight, my present Jay Flight TT a 1,100lb loaded tongue weight. When towing under poor road conditions I found that the potential "porpoising" effect was managed better with the Bilstein's. In general I haven't experienced any 'negatives' with the shocks.

Installed additional bed lighting. The OEM lights at the tailgate are great if there is nothing in the bed.
Spliced in 8 lights. These pictures do not do the installation justice during daylight. At night you can really see the difference. Looking forward to being able to see something up in the front of the bed when there is stuff by the tailgate and the cover is closed.
