Best Hitch

It's been 12 years since I sold my 30 trailer and brought my Jayco Seneca Class C, but while towing I found that the Hensley Hitch was by far the best one available! I've towed my 30' TT with crosswinds of 60 mph and the rig was rock solid!

Equalizer

I pull a 7,750 Travel Trailer with a Expedition using the Equalizer. No wavering, popping, or slacking. I was impressed.

Equalizer

I use the Equalizer hitch. Grand Cherokee towing Hummingbird 17RK. We have logged a lot of long trips. Very happy with the hitch.

Of the five trailers we've owned two had the square bar type like the equalizer, like was said earlier they have been best for me. The reese type with chains required a sway control to tow on the interstate. If you read the instructions with the sway control it says to remove it before backing, at least ours did.

15k miles for me and 10k miles from the previous owner on a reese straight line ... no complaints...

I believe regardless of the hitch, the most important aspect is to insure proper setup to insure stable, safe, secure travel.

"Mine is the Fastway E2, made by Equalizer. Just takes five minutes to hookup/unhook and works perfect on my 30’, 7000# trailer. Never considered any other hitch. High crosswinds, passing semi’s, never have had any sway issues."

X2 on the above. However the OP already made their decision over a week ago on post # 18 with a 2nd question.

"I have decided to go with the Anderson WDH. Has anyone else used this one on their Hummingbird? I have a 2017 RK Non Baja and I am trying to get a height from the ground to the top of the A frame up front. I do not live in a very level area, and haven’t had a chance to take it somewhere more level. I need this height to determine whether or not I need regular frame brackets, or raised frame brackets. Apparently if it is less than 18” I need raised frame brackets. The best I can tell for now is it is 19 1/4”. If anyone has this setup which brackets did you use?"
