I don't know the details of your contract and I don't want to give legal advice. I'm guessing if the contract says you can inspect the unit prior to finalizing the sale you still have the opportunity to back out, or renegotiate. Maybe the dealer won't replace the bunk ends, but maybe they can sweeten the deal through price or accessories.
Did you try a PVC pipe glue with a strip of vinyl 1/8 inch thick glued to the poly strip that is sewn to the canvas?
