brake failure

I have a 2016 Jayco Pinnacle fifth wheel (41 feet long). I have approximately 4000 miles on the trailer and the brakes are completely worn out. The brakes are 12X2 automatic adjusting. My pull vehicle is a F 250 Ford with a factory brake controller. I am wondering if this is an issue with these brakes? and does anyone know a way to correct the problem. My last fifth wheel used by us for over 12 years and only had to change the brakes one time and that was because of failed magnets.

I have the opposite problem. Have a 2017 43' NP. My brakes have never worked enough to ever ware out. Had to cut hole in floorboard so DW could drag feet when ready to stop.

We have a 2016 Pinnacle & pull with a F450. In 2016 on a trip to Virginia Beach the truck box had "wiring fault on trailer" come up. Check the plug, etc. Mobile unit came out & tested the plug & said the problem was on the F450 (never had an issue on our 2007 Cameo).

While on the road we scheduled it back at the dealership to get warranty issues handled, including looking at the brakes. Turns out the "wiring fault on trailer" was a wire had come off and we had no brakes on the one side. Darn lucky we didn't have to stop quickly!
