A/C won't start

I attempted to fire up my A/C units to make sure they both work.

Neither unit would start, they both have power and they make a noise like a stuck motor.

The living room unit, I took the interior grate off, reached in and gave the squirrel cage a turn. It was tight, but loosened up, turned the unit on add it was good to go.

The bedroom unit, no such luck. I'm going to climb on the roof and take the cowling off.

What should I look for?
Is there an annual maintenance item for the A/Cs that I'm unaware of?

Can't help with your problem, but some info might help others...
What year is your RV?
What kind of RV is it?
Are you plugged into shore power? 30amp? 50amp? or?

A/C won't start

2014 Jayco premier. Plugged into 50 amp

I should add, they both worked fine the last time we used them.

Maybe mud dauber has the fan or squirrel cage blocked? If you were able to free the main unit, it’s possible the bedroom could be the same.

Fr8, the frozen fan motor just happened to me. 5th has sat idle maybe 6 weeks and wouldn’t start. Just like you, removed the interior cover and moved it by hand and all was good.
I replaced a motor about 1.5 yr ago, sourced it on Amazon.
What’d you find about the second A/C?

Does anyone else find it odd that they would both malfunction at the same time?

Red horse, I climbed up on the roof and removed the cover. Gave it a spin up there and it felt much more free, had someone turn the thermostat on, and it took off.

I found that odd as well, can't explain it.

Oil those fan motors just like home furnaces motors and they'll last. If you remove the fan-blade and fan-rotor, to set on the same position.
