On Demand help requested

We have an Atwood OD5001CW water heater. Has worked great the last 2 years and now I can only get luke warm water out of the bath area while the kitchen is nice and warm. I've looked at everything I can think of (which isn't much) and cannot figure anything out. I've blew the burner clean with compressed air and put 2 gallons of vinegar thru it to clean any gunk built up on anything. I have added PRV's and hasn't changed anything. This bugs me for I used to be able to scald myself at the outside shower if I wanted. Any ideas on what may be wrong??

If you have a single lever shower control it probably has a temperature controller built in to prevent scalding. Take a look at your valve. It could be plugged up with junk in the line or the valve may be bad. It could also just need flushing out.

Look up the model on youtube and see if someone has step by step on how to set it or clean it and re-set it. Also, look up owners manual for instructions.

Just replaced our water heater and had to reset the valve. Took off the cover plate and there was a setting built into the valve body. Took that apart and found trash in the line.

If this is your first time out after dewinterizing, maybe the hot water bypass is still on.
