onboard propane tank rust

Hello All. I was under my 2018 Redhawk today and I noticed that the bottom of the onboard propane tank was rusted. Is this normal? Should I be concerned about leaking? Thanks for the help.

I wouldn't be concerned about leaking, but that's a routine maintenance issue. It needs to be painted since you may find a propane supplier who looks and refuses to fill it.

Turn off propane before working on it. If you have no painting experience a little sanding and several thin coats of Rustoleum white paint will do the trick.

our 2019 red hawk tank is not rusting. I wiped it down and sprayed it with a product called FLUID FILM ITS LANOLIN BASED.
