Check Your Frameless Windows

I received this letter from Jayco a few days ago. If your motorhome was manufactured in January 2020 check your windows.

Sorry, the picture uploaded blurry. It pretty much says if your coach was manufactured Jan 13-31 2020, you need to have your frameless windows inspected because the adhesive where the glass meets the hinge frame might not hold.

The letter came in perfect timing for me because mine is going in the shop for some warranty work this week anyway.

Sure enough one of my windows is affected. The dealership is waiting on a new window from Jayco.

And they like to fail and fall off while going down the highway at 65 mph too...

This morning I had to email Jayco because it’s been two months since the the dealer ordered the window and they haven’t received it from Jayco. I would think this being a safety issue that Jayco would supply the window faster. Hopefully the email sparks a fire under someone’s butt to get the window shipped.

Hopefully your rig is not sitting at the dealer while they are waiting months for parts. Rarely do they take any measure to keep your batteries charged... I find it is better off bringing it back home and waiting for the parts to never arrive.

No, it’s definitely not at the dealer. It’s just very frustrating how long it’s taking for a window. I’m sure Jayco will fight when they have to cover additional damages if the window falls while I’m driving or camping. If that window falls on my wife or kids Jayco is going to have serious issues.
