Extra tail lights on toad when using a Dolly.

Do most dolly towers just use the dolly tail lights and not add ones to the towed vehicle ?

I didn't. I added an extra 4 way and connected the cars tail/brake lights. I've also seen people use magnetic lights on the toad.

It will take a "google search", but saw a "Bluetooth" powered light bar that was wireless and magnetic on a toad at a campground. Thought it was a fantastic idea! Owner said he saw it on a vehicle being towed by a tow truck and searched it out.

I added the magnetic also, I figured the extra lights wouldn't hurt. I always put a thin film of plastic under the magnetic lights to prevent scratches to the vehicle though.

We use the magnetic lights on our towed. Cheap additional insurance to make sure the people behind us know our intentions. $15.00 at Harbor Freight and they work great.

Even though it is specifically designed for a hitch receiver mount, it can be attached anywhere. Nice and bright with red (stop/running)/amber (turn) LEDs.

When we had our dolly... we used both.

I wired up a Y connector so that the Dolly Lights would work along with the Magnetic ones. Keeping the wire running to the back was solved by tucking the extra into the trunk lid
