Main room slider working!

I had posted a couple of threads on troubleshooting a non operational slider in my 2005 Jayco Greyhawk. I was also correcting an issue with the battery disconnect and solenoid feature being disabled by a previous owner.

I found a slew of white ground wires underneath the house battery tray. At least 3 were broken. They screwed into a screw block plate that is bolted to the frame. The screws were rusted, so I was not able to reuse them. I tugged on the other 2 dozen white wires, and 3 more broke off. I ended up crimping good quality yellow eyelets (NAPA auto parts) onto the broken grounds, then drilling a few holes into the frame, then used good quality grade 8 bolts, nuts, and washers to attach the wires to the frame.

My main room slider now works! I suspect other electrical items I have not used in awhile will also work without a suprise when I need them.

Lesson learned for future troubleshooting grounds....check this area for loose or broken white wire grounds if you have issues with non functioning electrical things in your camper.

Nice work! Grounds are a constant gremlin when it come to electrical problems - In many cases, I will actually start there first.
