I have a Tri fold now and have been seriously thinking about one like yours. I don’t need the sleeping space, but want relaxing comfort instead.

Tom, we are ready to purchase the recpro recliners. What color I’d your interior? Mine is french vanilla. Looks like the toffee is close.

29mv

I also have a 29MV and want to change the sofa to recliners or love seat. My question isfor anyone who has replaced the sofa and used the plywood. How high does the electrical box rise above the plywoods floor? I want to confirm that what I buy will be high enough. Thanks.

Your picture is ours, the plywood was flush on slide floor. I moved the electric box outboard next to the wall. Also slotted the wood for the wire. Wood stops 4" from wall.

Thanks. I never thought of moving the electrical box! I'm going to give it a try.

What did you have to do to remove the sofa out the door? It's unbolted and free now. Thanks

It’s not that hard. Lift the front of the sofa up as if you are going to lay out in the bed position. That will give you room to remove the four floor nuts and the screws holding the sofa arms to the framework. Pull the arms out and carry them out the door. Finish flattening out the sofa to bed position, pull it out of slide-out. Stand it up and walk it out the door. Butch C

Thanks. I see the 4 screws that hold the arms and will remove them. I should be able to get the sofa out now!

I’m in the process of removing the jackknife sofa right now and would like to know if we need to keep the four mounting bolts in place or just let them drop out? The are a little scored from the factory install. Do you just fasten the new recliner to the existing slide plywood? We have the Greyhawk 29 MV model. Jimmyd

Oops, read the entire thread and now know what to do. Should have done that first.

I have a Precept 31UL. Would anyone know if they can be reclined with the slides in? I understand walking around them would be difficult or impossible, but can they be opened.

Plywood under recliner in Greyhawk 29MV

Does anyone have the dimensions of the 1/2” plywood that they put under the recliners? I have the sofa out and am waiting for delivery of our RecPro recliners.
I am also documenting with pictures as I go for the future if anyone needs help.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I cut my plywood 30” x 58”. That allowed the bolts holes to be approximately 2-1/2” from the edge of the plywood.

Thanks Butch. Can you tell me how far from the wall you kept your recliners?

With the recliner in the full upright position and measuring at the top of the chair cushion it measures about 2” from the window screen frame. Mine will brush the wall when going to the full recline position, so you might want to come out another 1/2” to 1” from where mine is. It is best that you do a little experimenting in your home before mounting in the motorhome.
