Thank you. Yes, please. I bet youtube has how to videos on how to swap out. I'll keep it for now, since it's new and revisit it down the road. I'd just like to see how others have retrofitted their rvs. Thank you all for your comments. Super helpful.

True, but a house is not concerned with weight issues. Not that this may really be an issue, but saving weight (and manufacturer cost) is an issue perhaps with an RV/RV manufacturer.

All these responses to plastic vs porcelain reminded me of my '58 Chevy truck. Metal everywhere; even the dash. A lady in a Ford Granada hit me at a stoplight. My chest hit the Ralph Krampton bus style steering wheel it had. I lost my breath for a few seconds. Got out of the truck to see if the two little old ladies who were in the car that hit me where OK. Her car was smoking from the radiator and front end being crushed.

My truck? I had some of her paint on my rear bumper that I scraped off with my fingernail.

Final thought? They don't make stuff like they used to.

We upgraded ours. Seems higher and is wider. We took out heavy shower door, trade off on weight, lol.
