Shower Faucet Spraying Water

During our maiden voyage of the 2020 Greyhawk this past weekend, we discovered that water sprays out the small hole where the shower hose attaches to the shower faucet. It looks like the hole may be designed as part of a vacuum breaker or allows the hose to drain once water is shut off. It is a Dura faucet.

Is this a failure that requires replacement? Any ideas on how to proceed? Warranty service is an hour away, and the quality of their work is questionable, I would prefer to fix this myself if possible. It'll cost me a lot more to drive there roundtrip than it will to do a total replacement myself.

Sounds like a diverter valve stuck in the valve body. I replaced mine a couple of years ago. I found it on Amazon and it you have access in the back it's a easy upgrade.

Not expensive either..

Ya sure Norty

Maybe one more post to be sure

A new system/faucet is pretty cheap easier than warranty
Fixed mine as well...leaked in the back at the connection
