TV Inverter Question?

Newbie to Class C RVing...me and the wife purchased to take Grandparent vacations....thought I saw a thread about disconnecting a wire from the TV in order to watch while moving? Something to occupy the kids while we're moving. Any suggestions?

Naaa…..trying to create some memories to encourage them to play and stay away from all the technology that's got their attention!

Sounds like the peanut gallery is grumbling again. Sometimes it's hard to keep kids occupied for long travel days, so it's nice to turn on a movie and have a little peace. I'm not saying it should be a rolling theater, but now and then it's nice to take the easy route.

Anyway, see post # 54 on this thread: https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f...v-57205-6.html

Not a lengthy description in that post, but good enough; reference the first picture. There is a relay on the back of that power outlet. The purple wire is the one on mine that was connected to the ignition and would cut out that outlet (it stuck out like a sore thumb, kind of like they WANTED me to find it). I cut the wire, folded each end back and shrink-wrapped the ends. Easy peasy.

If you don't want to hassle with the cutting of the ignition wire (but it isn't really that difficult) just run an extension cord from the TV to the closest plug. Only the one in TV area has this ignition cutoff.

Grandkids...one of God's greatest blessing! Take them with you while they are young and will enjoy it. They grow up too quick and don't have time for grandparents when teenagers.
