15" or 16" ?

My 2015 28.5 RSTS is nearing the need for new tires . It has 15" rims now.
Should I upgrade to 16"tires/wheels ?

If you don't mind investing a 5-6 hundred dollars for new 16 " rims you will have more options on new tires. Also be able to go to a G rated tire if needed.

My plan is to stay with the (very attractive) Seidel rims and go with the Goodyear Endurance (US made) "E" rated tires when I replace the Raniers next year.

X2. Other than the upfront cost, I've never known anyone disappointed in the move to 16's.

I did the 16" upgrade and got a Heck of a deal on the new rims. There are some great looking 16" rims out there between $75 to $110. I happened to find some for a package deal of $375 and put some 14 ply tires on. You can read my post to what I've done. Good luck in your decision and I think you'll like all the options with going to 16" rims.
Chris

Question for those who upgraded to a higher size rim.

Did you replace the spare tire and rim?

new tires

I took the collective advice and went to 16" rims and Goodyear Unisteel G614 RST Radial Tire.
That is all.

Inflation pressure ?

Leaving soon on cross country trip.
Trailer wt 9000 lb.
Cargo wt = ? (guessing 1500 )
Question --- Should I run at 110 psi , or less - 80psi ?

The sidewall of the tire should have a max pressure on it.

What rims did you get? I upgraded to G614’s. The original rims had a max pressure of 80psi, I cheated and inflated the tires to 100psi until I had lost enough sleep and got new rims that had a max pressure of 110psi. I now inflate to 110psi. My 5th may be heavier than yours (12700#) and I felt it was important to inflate them to their max rating.

I am thinking the same . The dealer says my rims are rated for 110 psi , so I think this is what I'll go with.
My trailer is about 89++ lbs, so loaded it will be about 1500 more , so say about 11000 lb.

I'd go up to 16" and here's where I bought my wheels; https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F253249701990
You'll get a good deal, then you can shop for tires.
Happy travels and good luck,
Chris
