2014 eagle roof and upper slide seal advice

Hi all,

We just bought a 2014 jayco eagle 316 RLTS and are going over the unit to see what needs touching up. I was trying to decide on what sealant to use along the roof edge. I was going to buy Dicor non-leveling sealant, but not sure if i can use this on the roof material if its not EPDM. Anyhow, doesn't anyone know what the material is? What is the best vertical surface sealant for sealing along roof trim over edge?

So, I just noticed this evening during a wind driven rain, that the dining slide leaks. I got the ladder out to take a look at it the top of it and it looks to be in good condition. But what i did notice, is the top seal does not seal/touch against the slide out roof when its dropped down into its extended position. It touches when it is retracted in a about 6 inches but not when fully extended. Anyone seen this problem before? Its almost like the opening was made about 1" or so too tall to allow the seal to function properly. I'd appreciate any thoughts on a work around....

thanks in advance!

Both seals look very dry. I would apply without a rag, by spraying the lube/conditioner into your hand (inside the RV and outside), while the seals are in your hand slowly sliding along, generously. Attempt to rehydrate them seals and then (later maybe a week) use a flashlight light test when the slide is out.

Good luck.
