Adding a Second AC

Looking to add a second ac to our 29.5 BHOK. Not sure which low profile unit to go with so I’m looking for recommendations. Also I pulled the the vent cover to make sure the wiring is there. I see the thermostat wiring is brown but when I pulled the light switch looking for it, I can only find white wires that are attached to each other.

Welcome to the forum.

Low profile AC units have been a 'hot topic' here recently so I'm sure someone will be along shortly with something to offer.

We had our high profile unit changed out to the Coleman Mach 8 Plus on our 28.5 RSTS when we bought it. We’ve been very happy with it so far.

No issues with my Coleman mach 8 low profile unit. Wish my main unit was the low profile unit too.

IMO the low-profile Dometic Penguin II has the nicest looking exterior roof shroud. Coleman typically offers more electrically efficient models than Dometic. Something to consider if you power your a/c with a generator a lot.

I have same unit and currently adding the Dometic Penguin 2. The 120 v lines with be terminated in a metal box within the roof cavity and easy to pull out once trim is removed. Mine is ducted and thats the unit I chose. The tSTAT wire is brown and has 4 wires in it. Depending what kind to T stat u buy, whether single zone, etc. It should only need 3 wires
