Blackstone Griddle

I've seen a lot of 2022 Jayco 5th wheels that say the include a Blackstone 22" griddle. I'm thinking Jayco must have some kind of promotion going on. We received our 2022 Eagle 321RSTS in August. I was looking forward to using the griddle but all we got was the Jayport table insert, quick connect cable and a voucher for the griddle. It doesn't cook so well

I registered the voucher and got an email that because of high demand and short supply the griddle should arrive late August or early September. Now they are saying late October or early November.

Has anyone received their griddle using the voucher?

Looks like a few people are waiting for their griddles

You can get the Blackstone off Amazon for about $175. See if the dealer will give you the $175 and return the voucher to them.
IF they agree there is one thing you need to know about going this route is the ones from Jayco have a Jayco exclusive windscreen that comes on them. Blackstone wont even know what you are talking about if you call them asking about it. Been there, done that.
I got the dimensions off my buddy's Blackstone that came with his new trailer and had one made. Of course, I had to kick it up a step and had one made out of stainless.

Thanks JB and Lake. I searched the forum but didn't find that thread. I guess I only searched the 5th wheel sub forum. That's an option to check into.

Congrats on the new 321RSTS. We almost included the Blackstone with our order. Now we're looking for a way we can use the JayPort because it's a cool feature.

We wanted a Blackstone so we got the 'Adventure Ready' version from Walmart and then picked up the conversion kit so we can use our camper's propane. I recommend this alternative for those without the JayPort version.

Thanks! I assumed Jayco was running a promotion because the griddle and the bedroom TV were included. Maybe the dealer just ordered it that way. The Jayport stand was mounted against the right side wall on the passenger side cargo bay. I can send you a picture if you would like to see how it looks.

Can you post pics of the underside of the jayport and how it’s attached? I’d like to recreate it if I could…. But don’t really want to cut up the frame if that’s what’s needed… thought about using a bumper mount hitch receiver and putting it out to the side of the camper on top the bumper.

I can't remember EXACTLY, but I remember looking at my buddy's trailer and it's made fairly stout. Lots of reinforcements on the receiver part and I dont remember if its welded to the web of the I-beam frame or if its bolted in. For some reason I thought it was welded in

We use a griddle however I keep it AWAY from the trailer. You cant see a mist but there is an oil mist that comes from cooking with a griddles especially stuff like bacon. That mist will get on anything close by. Not dangerous but a pain to clean sometimes.
Just an fyi

Blackstone

I either place our blackstone on the picnic table or a dutch oven table. It is surprising how much grease is left when using it. It is very apparent on the dutch oven table. I would be hesitant to use it attached to the camper. With that said, the 17” blackstone that we have only has about a 2” rise around the rear and sides of the griddle. If the Jayco provided windscreen is higher that should help considerably with grease splatter.

Same boat here. We purchased in August and have got the same story from Blackstone.

Our camper came with the Blackstone in the storage compartment (March 2021 build). Random question - Has anyone been able to get the Jayco "wind guard" or whatever they call it to fit properly between the cooktop and the base? Mine just doesn't line up.
