Caulking

A reminder to remember to check your caulk.
I had the moulding on the transition to the bottom black skirt on the slide pulling off and never noticed.
I could see the luan was starting to rot from the water getting in.
Looked at the rest of the moulding and found other loose spots, they are hard to see.
All I had was black caulk so I re caulked all of it black. They usedclear that wasn’t very clear anymore and finger smeared.

Here’s what black looks like where it touches the wall colour...maybe looks better than their clear.

I will have to check mine. But also check and seal the metal wrap on inside bottom lip on slide. Mine is stapled in place but the seam is open to water from the tires driving in the rain.

It's a shame that at the factory, they CANNOT caulk!!

I would rather have them NOT caulk at all than to have to try to clean their mess off so it can be recaulked.............

I feel ur pain there. My new roof has enough up there for two units.
