Converter Humming Constantly

Have a new to me 2015 Eagle Premier 371 FLFS. Can hear a constant humming coming from under the stairs to the front living room. Is this the converter fan? Should it be running constantly? Or is it something else?

If you have a generator or generator prep its's probably the transfer switch. It is usually mounted in that area. The magnetic coils will cause an ac hum. In our PINNACLE it would come and go and also be more noticeable from time to time.

Transformers in converters can hum. It's the 60 cycle current causing the plates to vibrate. Older transformers could be tightened up but the newer ones don't have nuts and bolts to hold them together, they glue the plates.

To give an idea of how common it is, see this:

Some people have potted the coils to try to quiet them down.
