Dishwasher

Did any of you do the Vesta installation yourself? We can see where the drain hose attaches and the hot water valve attaches. We know we have to drill a hole in the wall to the right to access the empty outlet to plug the dishwasher in. Do we need to add anything underneath for stability?

My husband is very handy (as well as “handy” with a keyboard), and has done numerous modifications on our camper already.

you should create a platform for the washer to sit on to keep it stable. Use some 2x2 for the feet, and some 3/8 plywood for the shelf. Ideally it needs to be elevated off the floor to decrease the pumping height for the drain hose. Make sure you review the installation instructions for the hose height, as there is a max height for it related to the drain. Make sure you install a shutoff valve for the water supply, not just put a T junction in the water line.

I had the dealer install ours. On our model the only logical place was under the sink. But doing so would eliminate access to the valve for the water to the fridge which the dealer didn't know existed!! I had them cut an access door to get to both valves, the dishwasher & fridge. We use it every single day and the Vesta is better & quieter than all of the Bosch's we owned.

We have a Vesta too. It is quieter than the unit in our home. Only really here it running when draining. Very happy with it.
