DIY Window Awning

Hello fellow 5th wheelers. The wife and I are prepping for summer along with 120+ deg temps and we decided to build a window awning for the rear window of our camper. We used 1/2" PVC tubing for the frame and 3/4" inch tubing for the extendable arms. Total cost was just over $100. We used command strip hooks to secure the top of the awning to the RV and the support arms, because the wife is a big fan of not screwing anything in to the trailer. That does look like it would tremendously help in blocking some of the sun coming through that big back window. Every little bit helps to keep the inside cooler during those hot summer days.
