Exclamation Extra Roller Brackets

Figured if I started a thread about this I may get more information. I have a 2018 North Point with the kitchen slide which holds a lot of weight. TV, fireplace, pantry, microwave, stove, oven and a residential fridge. We took delivery this past April and have been on 3 trips, maybe running that slide in and out 8 to 10 times. It's really starting to moan & grown. I was told you could have "Extra Roller Brackets" installed. My question is, is there a kit for this, do you take it to the dealer, do you contact Jayco and tell them the slide mechanism is trash. Any feed back would be appreciated. I'm certain anyone with a big slide like that must be having similar symptoms.

How do you get to the motors and rollers. I have the 315 RLTS. I've used slide lubricant on the metal teeth on the sides both top and bottom, but not the motors and rollers.

We have the Eagle 321 RSTS can access the motors outside behind rubber slide seal! There are several U Tubes that may be helpful! Thanks

I think it is a Power Gear SlimRack.
From page 6
Your Power Gear slideout system has been designed to require very little maintenance. To
ensure the long life of your slideout system, read and follow these few simple procedures:
• When the room is extended, visually inspect the slide rail assemblies. Check for excess
build up of dirt or other foreign material; remove any debris items that may be present.
• If the system squeaks or makes any noises, blow out any debris from the gear rack arms
and apply a dry lubricant to prevent and/or stop squeaking.

I purchased Thetford Premium RV Slide Out Lubricant thinking it would help but didn't make anything smoother.........my guess that my problem is not the lubricant situation.

Yes, you're right it is a Slim Rack. Looking at the manual, it appears a floor roller can be used but is not supplied by Power Gear/Slim Rack, which leads me to believe that Jayco is NOT putting in floor rollers!! The system is designed for slides up to 1,500 pounds. I'd say Jayco may have pushed it a little!!

Just got this message from Power Gear about the floor rollers:

Al,

If this is a Slim Rack system, it must have floor rollers, as they are required for proper system operation.

Ultimately, it is the OEM's (Jayco's) call what rollers to use, but as long as the entire weight of the room is supported by the rollers, any should do. We do have a selection of service rollers available on our website here:

https://store.lci1.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=J+ROLLER

Thanks!

Jeremy Weyer

So apparently you can add extra floor rollers for extra support. If anyone has done this to their FW or any other slide out please chime in!
