Furrion

microwave just died. Second furrion product to bite the dust in just over 2 yrs. I guess RV manufacturers putting in quality appliances for the money we put out is just asking to much.
Flat screen tv's and microwaves should last longer then less than and just just over 2 yrs.

By dumb luck, our selling dealer swapped ours out for a High Point Micro-Convection unit and we are really happy with it. Our Furrion Oven is used for snack and cracker storage. Lord knows you can't cook with it.

Many of those appliances just can't handle the travel vibrations/bumps/movements...even though they are purportedly designed to do so.

X2 on the Furrion Oven, next time we are out, or once our Fifth Wheel gets out of service shop, we are pulling the oven and replacing with our electric Breville Convection Oven - in it's place...

Additionally, removing the kitchen TV and putting the Microwave in the TV slot so
can reach it better....put both Oven and TV in our storage for when/if we sell the RV.

I do believe the reason the TV and the microwave break down is due to the fluctuating voltages in the RV. Standard generators (non-inverter type) can cause it. TVs and microwaves need a clean sinusoidal wave. Also the power inverters used in the RV are most likely not the best.

Furrion was a mystery company to me. I did a little research and digging. Started by two Australian brothers. Design in house, engineering and fab in Hong Kong.

A few years ago, they landed two huge industry contracts and have been on a rocket growth path.

Supposedly there's a big building in Elkhart.
You might reach out to them and express your displeasure.

Who knows, they might respond (why they're still small and hungry).

Maybe Furrion should change their name to Inferrioron?

Ive come to the conclusion that most Furrion products are junk. Plain and simple, Junk. My latest adventure is with the Furrion Entertainment Center, Furrion Convection Oven, and the Furrion Oven. The Ent. System was repaired (loose wires), the Convection Oven was replaced twice then finally sold back to Jayco as was the Oven. Had to sign a waiver with Jayco for the buy back. I replaced the Oven with a Whirlpool Convection Oven and converted the oven space into storage for pots and pans. The fewer Furrion products in my unit, the better off I am.

I don't recommend anything made by Furrion. Their customer service sucks too. I had to threaten to email them videos of my red faces on my tv before they'd warranty it. Fortunately they gave the dealer a cash allowance and we got a Vizio smart tv that works great.

Aren't they a division of Lippert now?

Do you use the oven in that space or do you just store it there and then put it on the counter when you use it? I'm thinking about the airspace around the unit that many manufacturers want you to have. I have been shopping for a combination oven like that.
