Help with MaxxAir Fan 7500

I need help. We came home after a rainstorm. I hit the power button on the remote, the fan raised, then lowered and beeped several times. There's a light that has come one by the reset button but it won't reset, and I can't get the fan to respond to anything. As luck would have it, I can't find the manual which is unlike me. Haven't researched it online yet thought I would get an answer quicker here than anywhere else. I was thinking maybe a rain sensor is keeping it from doing anything but don't think it has a rain sensor. Advice?

I've heard they're voltage sensitive units, either from a low battery, or wiring that's been pinched, or shorting out intermittently. I looked at the online manual, but it says nothing about troubleshooting problems. You may have to give them a call, or email.

Yea I found the owners manual online. It sounds like it needs to be reset and to call customer service if this happens so I'll do that on Monday. It also says to disconnect the power source and that might reset it. It's been working fine since I installed it a few months ago until now.

Probably just a glitch, or something there's an explanation for. It would be nice if they included troubleshooting for them. Let us know what you find out.

Update: When we got home, shut the power off to the batteries, turned back on, and it reset the fan. Not sure why it had to be reset.

Is the light red? If so shut the rain sensor off and then on again. With mine if the rain sensor closes the lid, it has to be reset.

No, the light was green and I've never seen it on before. Where's the rain sensor? I don't see anything on the remote or on the fan itself that addresses a rain sensor.

Not sure you have that with that model but mine is in the upper left corner as you are looking up at it. It is a switch that turns the sensor on or off. Mine has to be reset if it activates. With my past Fantastic fans it reset itself when it dried out.

I have the 7500K and I don't think it has the rain sensor. I would have remembered seeing it if it did. I tried everything last night to get it to work and nothing helped. When it happened, I hit the power button on the remote to open the lid and turn the fan on, it raised up, started beeping like crazy and lowered back down, and the green light came on. Nothing else worked after that. Until today I turned power off to the RV in the storage lot then turned it back on. Light was out and fan worked. I think the rain storm we had while we were away from the RV caused it. I'll call Maxx Air tomorrow and see what's going on.
