Low CG water pressure

I have the onboard tankless water heater. Owners understand that requirements are different for proper operation. Today I have low water pressure (seams more often now days) and the fail to ignite is crying again, so I aligned to the onboard tank and left the city-water connection aligned and pressurized. I tested the pressure in the kitchen prior to turning the pump on, and found the water pressure was the same. Yep, I was aligned for onboard water but it seams the water pressure is the same as aligned for city water alignment.

So today I will test the freshwater system; Leaving the city water connection pressurized and having the manifold aligned for onboard tank operation.

The DW will shower and do her dishes for her standard daily activities but without knowing that the freshwater pump will augment the system when hot water is needed.

P.S. Has anyone ever done or doing this type of operation?

Interesting situation. We recently ran into a campsite that had low water pressure and I didn't remove the pressure regulator. The next time I'll try that but I was thinking about just filling the fresh water tank and using the water pump to bring the pressure up. We too have an on demand water heater and any drop in pressure means the water gets cold. I've never hooked up city water and attempted to use the fresh water tanks simultaneously. I'm wondering when you fill the fresh water tank (50 gal), do you turn the water off when it's full or can you leave the water on?

Full yes, While filling no, on both City water pressure and Pump pressure.
