That’s what the girl at MORryde told me also.

It’s funny only 1 seller on Amazon now has the steps for only $500.00 LOL

And I might have been the only person that didn’t return them to Amazon! My box arrived beat up like everyone else’s but amazon gave my a partial refund for my scratches to keep them.

So far we love these steps especially when carrying stuff in and out.

(Ordered from Amazon and box was destroyed from shipping)

BTW MorRyde does NOT sell to Amazon

If your measurements are true and fall in the perimeter of the qualifier from MoRyde the steps will fit. The problem with door closer could be that the steps are not down low enough when deployed. If the adjustable legs are to high the door sill on the stairs raises enough to cause problems.

So you finally got them to work?
What was the solution? Was it just the legs weren’t adjusted correctly?

They look good on your rig Jack

Ordered new stairs from Makarios. Same thing, hinge plate was up off threshold about an inch??
Called MORryde and sent pics. Ask if all the hinge plates are the same. She sent me a new hinge plate.
One from Amazon and from Makarios both were bent incorrectly.
Jennifer at MORryde is awesome!! She definitely knows her stuff.

That’s great she got you fixed up. Don’t know about you but even with everyone saying how great or how solid the steps are, I was still surprised at how much better they are than the fold up steps.

I agree Tom. There is no shaking at all. Very solid steps.

I still have to tweak my screen a little. It closes once I removed the sweep on the bottom. Think I am going to shorten the door by about 3/16” , so I can put a new sweep on it.

I used a pair of scissors to give the screen door sweep a “haircut”.

It closed fine with the door but screen only wouldn’t close easily by itself so I just trimmed the sweep and now it’s good

LOL
Probably what I should have done, too late I pulled it off.

Debating IF I can remove bottom of screen and use my miter Saw to shorten each side about 3/16”

Or do you think it’ll mess up the door?

Don’t think I can cut that angle precise enough with a dermal? What do you think Tom?

Jack

I don’t trust myself with a dremel to make straight cuts. I would use a miter saw.

Or, see if you can get some type of sweep from Lowe’s or Home Depot to use or modify instead of cutting the screen.

Tom that’s kind of what I’m thinking. I have cut a lot of aluminum on my miter saw.

My screen is just a little too tight on hinge side. I removed screen door and drilled holes a little bigger in hinges, so I could raise it that much. Didn’t really help.

That’s why thinking of removing bottom of door and trimming both sides to give a little more clearance and then add new sweep.
