My wife is originally from Penn Yan, NY. We picked it up from Wilkins RV in Bath, NY. Fantastic folks to deal with. We paid a touch under $39k. That includes MI taxes at 6%. Wilkins is even handling the MI title and registration process for us on top of the NY in transit plate it came with. Haven’t really looked at local stock in MI in case we end up kicking ourselves!!

We were staying with my in-laws while visiting NY for a friends wedding. Got bored and went to Wilkins RV in Bath, NY.

I can hitch and unhitch the 29.5BHDS at a small angle with the tailgate down and can get full access to the front hatch with the tailgate up. Actually far more room everywhere than I had imagined I’d have!

From the hatch door to the pin was 87 inches on my last trailer, it's 74 inches on my new one.

Ah, understand now. 2” would sound like it is definitely to close to hitch at an angle.
Funny that you bring this up. My neighbor at our current campsite has a ding on the front of the camper and I was wondering how she got it. The pinbox is definitely shorter than mine.

Welcome from South Georgia. I have a2014 Jayco Eagle pulling with a 3/4 Ram Diesel. Bought the rig new and had a B & W hitch installed. Have the 6' 4" bed and no problems. Haven't hit the window yet but maybe I am the next one to do so. I do watch real closely in backing with sharp turns.

Congratulations and welcome!
I went from a Reese to a B&W for the factory pucks and it was one of the best things I ever did - huge improvement in the towing experience.
Previous truck was a s/b, pulling an Eagle, and though I had a slider I never needed it. Think I used it twice in two years, and both times were just to give it some use.

Were the Reese and B&W both fixed hitches? Apples to apples comparison?
I bought a Reese for my factory puck system. Just wondering if there would be a reason to upgrade.

I'm from near there. There's a backstory with Wilkins

We just recently purchased a 2019 29.5bhds as well and i had the same situation with which hitch to purchase. I ended up getting the Pullrite Superglide and it has been amazing. I haven't had to worry about the trailer getting even close to the cab so far.
