Good morning Youngsters. We have a Honda 2000 that we bought many years ago. Regarding DRW. We have a washer and dryer installed. We weighed at CAT scales with full fuel, and the 2 of us. The TV rear axle is rated for 7000lbs. Weight on the rear axle when hitched was 6600. TV GVWR is 12.000. Scale indicated 11,420 hitched. TV GCVWR is 24,000. Our combined was 23,280. We are under on all numbers but thought higher margin would be good. Dual rear wheels would also provide safety in the event of a rear tire failure. Tire monitors provide pressure and temperature and we keep the TV rear tires close to max cold inflation for max capacity. This would let us know if we have a leak as well. Low pressure can cause a blow out.
We haven't had any issues and the ride is very smooth. I did add air bags to help cushion the ride. We aren't planning to go DRW.

Our Jayco dealer is recommending an F250 with air bags added so that you can deflate and have the ride of a 3/4 when not towing. It is also like searching for the proverbial pot of gold to find a pre-owned truck the way we want it equipped. Here in NE Ohio, most Ford dealers equip their stock trucks as if we all buy trucks to plow snow. Maybe I should order a new one equipped just as needed.
Did you mean F350? An F250 *is* a 3/4 ton truck. Regardless, the 2017 and up Ford Super Duty trucks pretty much ride the same, so deflating air bags is not going to help any. When not towing a just let some air out of the rear tires to help the ride (f350s run 80 lbs in the rear. 250s run 60)

We have the setup in the sig. we full time in ours. Be very carefull estimating the pin weight. We have the splendide w/d combo. When you add clothes in the front closet, stuff under the bed, and clothes in the draws it adds up. Our pin weight is 3600 lbs and we don’t have the generator option. My gasser is at it’s limit. We didn’t want a diesel because of the maintenance and we only drive to Florida and back once a year. I traded a srw 3500 for the dually and the difference was fantastic. No stress at all. If you get a diesel dually you will never look back. Also as you asked we love our 315. Very few problems.
