Slide problem- Not Schwintek

2018 Pinnacle 38REFS. Has 5 slides, 4 are on Schwintek and work fine (Fingers crossed that holds out!) . Dining room is on a (Lippert- I think) different slide motor. When I try to extend with the regular switch, it doesn't work. When I go to the touch panel (One Control)- it says "fault" on that slide, but I can extend or retract with no issues. No signs that it is binding or any obvious issue. Any thoughts?

I had a few problems with the dining room slide not operating with the toggle switch in the control panel but worked just fine from the touch panel or my phone app.........go figure. Have not had that problem for several months now. Maybe fixed itself?

I am also having the same problem with my 2018 North Point 315RLTS. I found this posted a couple days ago. https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f...ult-70104.html

Yeah so we've had the same trouble. So after reading the thread that Rhan pointed out, I ran to the basement and got my electrical tool box with 30 A fuse. Then just to remind me, I asked Joan when slide switch was the Dining Room. Number 4 she said. I tried it at the panel. She was moved- literally - both directions. So, like Al, it seems to have "fixed itself". But I'm keeping that 30 A fuse handy.

Thanks, Rhan, for that post.

Angus, where is that fuse located? I'm now consistently have that problem with the switch not activating the slide while my phone app works fine but shows "fault detected".

Fault Detected Update;
I replaced the fuse however after a while the problem came back. I called Lippert and talked to the OneControl people to find out what could cause that problem and they said it was an over current condition. Knowing that I called Lippert back and talked to the slide out division and they said that the problem is in the motor assembly. That clicking sound you hear I thought was the motor stripping gears however it is a clutch inside the motor that engages before it draws too much current. If you don’t hear the clicking sound that means it’s a clutch problem and since it’s built into the motor and cannot be adjusted the motor must be replaced. I told this to my dealer and he’s ordering out a motor. When it’s installed I’ll report back If it worked or not. (this actually makes sense because when I hear the clicking sound when I bring the slide in it doesn’t generate a fault).

(It has fixed the problem.)

Agree to "Reboot" the LCI. Unplug wait 10sec and plug back in. This will update your system as well.

Those resetable fuses are in the main panel inside- Top row, right side. They stand out as larger than the rest, are black and rectangular. Turns out I do not have spares of those (yet) but I dropped the issue when suddenly last the slide was working fine with either switch or app.

Now Joan tells me that the same dining slide will retract either with the switch or the app, but only extend with the app. Before we move in a couple of weeks I'll have spares of those 20 amp Resetable fuses in the 30 amp flavor.

Angus, is this what I should be looking for? It's the only blade type I could find:

Looks like it but hard to tell until I get to a car parts store with one in my hand. We are in the boon toolies now and it will be a few days for us to get near such a store. If you get there first, let me know.

Will do! There are two 20 amp fuses.........would you replace both since they both refer to the slides.

We had this problem with the dining slide sometimes working with the switch and sometimes had to use the one touch screen. The dealer said that a motor was amping out. They replaced it and we have not had any more trouble with it.

Yeah both with 30's for the reason you pointed out.

Then I'll download the Talking Heads song "Burning down the house"

I believe my dinette slide of my 2019 FBOK 336 is not working as designed. I get the ratcheting sound when fully extended but not when fully retracted. Is that an issue I need to be concerned about? Also, sometimes it gets hung up and stops when retracting. I typically use the one control app on my phone when operating the slides.

Yes, sounds like an intermittent clutch problem. New motor/clutch assembly or try the 30 amp fuse trick mentioned earlier, although from reading further, the 30 amp fuse trick sounds like a band aid and not the ultimate fix.
