Sofa from Dallas to Denver

I need to deliver a sofa to my son in Denver, from Dallas. Instead of getting a hotel, I'd like to take my 5th wheel. Do you think if I put something like this; 500 lb. Capacity 60 in. x 20 in. Steel Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier for 2 in. Receiver
In the rear receiver hitch and secured the sofa, I would be good?

What's the weight of the sofa?

What's the weight capacity of the 5'ver's hitch?

As White Ox said depends on the weight, but that would be a lot bouncing up and down. The cargo receivers and hitches(tongue weight) are only rated for 300 lbs.

I'll have to weigh the sofa. I can move it pretty easily so I don't think it's close to 300lbs. The carrier is 60lbs. I think weight wise I'll be ok. Worried about the bounce for sure.

If you decide to put it on your cargo carrier use 2 ratchet straps to hold the carrier down. This will eliminate the carrier from bouncing or rocking back and forth. Then secure the couch to the carrier…

Any chance you can get the couch in the 5er?
