Tip Out Recommendations

I have a question about pop out toppers and tip outs. We have been told two different recommendations at the dealership. Our trailer is permanently parked at a campsite for the season. Should we pull our tip outs in each time we leave the trailer for a few days, or leave them out? This is our first time with the toppers on our pop outs and want to keep them taunt. Does it make a difference whether we pull them in or out?

Tip out? Like a bunk in an HTT? If so I’d say fold ‘em when you are gone.

To start, you must drink out of the same well as my wife. She calls them all tip outs also and I'm always correcting her. There called slide out not tip outs. They slide in and out, not tip in and out......LoL Ok enough of my giving you a hard time. In my opinion I'd leave them out because when my 5er is parked at the house, I put my all my slide outs out. It's all about what make you feel comfortable because you'll get all kinds of opinions on here.
Happy camping,
Chris

Careful! When you use the term “tip out”, you are telling your age😎

Sunny, just curious. When you say “toppers” are you referring to something like the Popup Gizmos?

John I think shes referring to the fact that they have toppers [slide covers] on their slide outs.

Thanks for the clarification. I’d retract the slides while away if it is more than a few days.

X2. Even slide toppers are susceptible to damage in extremely high winds.
