So much for the plus or minus accuracy. Been noticing wider swings each year. Just serviced all four tires to 110 psi, checked with two different guages.
Replaced batteries in the sensors and reset system. PSI on four sensors (FW under pole barn) ranges from 96- 115 PSI. Temps from 80-96f. Sensors are 4 years old. No big deal since they will still let me know if a problem arrises. Set four different baseline pressures to keep false alarms from going off. Just a pain to remember when the program scrolls which temps and pressures are off on which tire.

For the price of these TPMS systems, you'd think that they would last longer than 4 years.

I can't remember exactly when I bought my TST - 507 but it was on my last trailer for a few years and has been on my current trailer since 2016. All I've ever done is change the batteries in the sensors. It works flawlessly.

I also have a TST-507 purchased 3 years ago. Works great. I do install new batteries every year; cheap insurance.

I took a chance on a Aliexpress clone. Four sensors for, I don't know, under twenty bucks. But I was more interested in learning about how the sensors communicate back to the base station...


Anyway, it was not accurate - but it was consistently inaccurate. All of the sensors were 1 to 3 pounds off. It didn't vary - RF was always a pound, LF was always three. The temps were similar. Off but consistently off.


For fun I tossed the sensors on the RV only to see that they seemed to have a max pressure of about 60psi!

My TM packed it in after 8 or so years. During that time I had to replace a couple of sensors (one just failed and the battery hold-down broke on another). The receiver was having intermittent problems. After a couple phone calls to their tech support I packed it up and sent it to them for testing. A week or so later I got the call back that it was dead. They offered me a discount on a newer model and I took them up on it.
I’ve had the newer one a couple of years and it’s been fine.

A TPMS is not optional for me. The original one alerted me to 2 dramatic tire failures almost immediately and I was able to prevent collateral damage to the 5th. My neighbor (no TPMS) was not so lucky, a passer-by alerted him to a tire failure and the damage to the wheel well was significant.

After 6 years and approx 15k miles, I had 2 sensors fail this year. My sensor started out not reading the pressure accurately and then I got an error message on my monitor of "no signal". I replaced both sensors for about $78 for 2 on Amazon and everything works fine. I now keep a spare sensor on hand just in case.

I have two spares but they are old also. My old truck had no TPMS so I added them to rear tires. Really annoys me my new truck was suppose to read up to six trailers but they did not add the wiring until early 2020
