Veneer coming off bedroom door

Anyone have veneer coming off the doors in your fifth wheel? I have veneer coming off bedroom door…and starting to bubble up on the bathroom door. Any suggestions how to fix properly? 2019 pinnacle 32RLTS

I have had veneer peel and bubble on cabinets due to contact with moisture, from plumbing leaks. It doesnt take long for the veneer to start this process once wet. The garbage board framing under the glued-on veneer soaks moisture and soon expands and the veneer separates.

Peel back the loose veneer and see if the framing looks moist and swollen.

But being on a door doesnt seem likely to be direct water contact?

Dealer response was that if the sub framing is still solid and not yet badly swollen, you can glue new replacement veneer to it (you can purchase the matched veneer from dealer). If sub frame is too damaged, then the entire wood piece(s) need to be replaced.

I had a similar problem with the trim around the bathroom door. I glued the veneer (I think it’s vinyl) back with a wood glue thinned with a little water and held it in place with a soft clamp for a couple of hours.
The repair looks pretty good. The underlying “wood” swells when it encounters water and the veneer came up a little short but the gap isn’t really noticeable.
Check into the cause, I’d expect water from the bath, wet mopp, shower spray, water escaping around the shower . . .and the like.

I have the same issues going on, especially around the edges of shelving and on doors.. I'm in the process of installing a hinged gas swing-up panel for my flat screen tv in the living room so i can access the massive storage space behind the TV. I noticed on some of the shelving in there, the veeneer is peeling pretty bad. I'll probably end up replacing the shelving with shelving from from home depot. They have some wood grain boards that come pretty close to a match and made with material 10x better than what is in place.

Could these problems be caused by high humidity? Maybe condensation as the weather changes.

If you can find a section where it is peeling, you'll find the veeneer is very thin, almost like a contact paper.. It is very cheap material meant to look good and simply not last. I live in the dry desert so i doubt damper weather would cause it, unless of course you have water leaks, then you have other problems.

Just found this at the top of our bedroom door this weekend. Possibly heat for us, it get pretty warm up there on hot, sunny days. I'll be gluing it back ASAP.
