2006 Seneca 34ss heating system

We had the unfortunate luck of picking up a fury mouse friend on our last trip. luckily he was only in our coach for a few days before we caught him and he didn't get into to much. He damaged one of the heating ducts.

While I was accessing the blower distribution box, I found a random disconnected heat line. Does anyone know what it was originally for/to? All the heat registers work. The line is just blowing air right into the cavity for the air intake which seems like a waste and I was thinking of plugging it.

Have you search for any holes through the floor into a compartment area? Some units have this done.

No holes in the floor other than where the other larger ducts go through. I had thought about it being for heating below the coach, but there isn't anything of value below where that short duct could reach (wet bay is the other side, etc).

Maybe there should have been if not a register on the panel you had to remove?

Maybe worth contacting Jayco Service with your vin number and ask for the heating system schematic. You will need your vin number.

I would not block off the vent yet, it might cause to much back pressure on the system.

The panel I removed is the cold air return for the system. It' just a grill that is open to the compartment.

Toilet is fed from a small line on the side of the box and is receiving air when the system runs.

The grey water tank is over the axle and some what issolated, so that would be the only other place that would possibly need heat.
