2008 Jayco Seneca Gray Tank Dump Valve

Hi everyone. I have two questions dealing with my 2008 Jayco Seneca that I would love feedback on. First, it appears my gray tank no. 1 dump valve has gone bad. When shut, it still leaks to the RV drain hose, making it a pain to deal with when you hook up to sewer service at a campsite. Any experience with how you go about getting to and replacing this valve? Second, I'm having a problem with my outside bin doors not staying in a fixed position. This can lead to damage to the doors when side-by-side doors are opened at the same time. Input on how these doors are supposed to stay in their proper location would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any help that you can provide.

Check out Valterra twist on waste valve. You place it right before your sewer connection so it gives you one more gate valve so you can hook it up dry and mess free.

bin doors

On your bin doors, Hopefully the frame that supports the doors and bin hasn't cracked from metal fatigue or weld break. its only one inch angle iron.

Depending I you can get access the valve itself, they make a repair kit that is just a matter of removing 4 bolts, remove old valve and bolt the ne valve back in. Most gray tanks are 1 1/2” drain and black is 3” so be the correct size.

Do you mean sliding sideways?

It's been 7 years, but I thought there was a screw that came up from the bottom of the mounting rail between each door that prevented them from moving.
