I know it has only been a week, but was wondering if you had anything to report.
I was removing my mactator today and saw a gap at the top of the drivers side. Yup, I am having separation. Right now there is only one screw sticking out and I was hoping you had something to report so I can start repairs before it gets worse.
TIA

I only had about 1 1/2 foot of the seam popping out. It had screws loose and pushing the rubber cover out. I used a x-acto knife to slice the paint and pull the rubber out. I then took the screws out and squeezed in some 3M M5200 glue and put the screws back in. I added one screw where it was bowed out. Got it all back together and am hoping for the best.

Finally got out to the shop and got the drivers side seam separation project started. It's obvious once I got the demolition done that this is at least the second repair. I am using the machine bolts with the aluminum backer plate on the inside. Previously screws and what looks to be a rivet of some sort.
How much gap can I expect to be able to suck in? In places there's a good 3/8 separation.
