Equalizer Levelers

Anyone had one jack extend and/or retract slower than the others ?

My right front moves considerately slower than the left front.
It still works to level the coach but it moves very slowly at about half the speed of the left front.

Is the slower mechanism lubed sufficiently? Wonder if that might cause some drag.

I have had a few issues with my Equalizer jacks. I don't know what is causing your issue but they have some amazing technical support staff. Just a few words into the description and they have it diagnosed and will walk you through step by step directions over the phone. Once, they stayed on with me and the rest I wrote down and called back to report what happened. Best support I have dealt with anywhere!

Happens every so often on ours... I crawl under it with a can of Wd40 and spray the ram good... then wipe it down real good making sure that everything is clean and lubricated. Then a few cycles of in/out on the jacks.

Would a teflon spray work better or even a corrosion preventative compound?

I see the teflon spray sticking around a bit longer than wd-40?

I removed 1 qt. of fluid from the tank so I could add a qt. of CAT Anti-Sticktion fluid. After I added the CAT fluid I had to reinstall the full qt. of the original fluid I had withdrawn to get the fluid to the Full mark on the tank. (Bottom line:The tank was 1 qt. low.) Levelers have worked flawless since.

I have read many reports of the Cat Anti-Sticktion fluid working great in jack systems but it is usually in regards to the jacks making a popping sound and being jerky. I don’t see why trying it would hurt anything but may check with Equilizer. I did read that LCI has approved these fluids for this.....

“After some extensive digging around on the internet, we found the solution on the LCI website that would allow us to use an additive rather than replacing all of the fluid in the system. LCI has approved the use of three different brands of anti-stiction fluids; Torco RFF Grade 15, Maxima Fork Oil Grade 15, and Caterpillar Hydraulic Oil Additive 1U-9891. The only one I was able to find locally was the Caterpillar Hydraulic Oil Additive 1U-9891 at the Cat dealer in town. I went down and purchased a quart so we could reduce the noise of the Auto-Leveling system.“

I just happen to have the Maxima Fork Oil in the cabinet...

I added the CAT Anti-Sticktion fluid because mine were sticking. The point I was trying to make was to make sure your reservoir is FULL. Mine wasn’t. It was a full qt. low. As stated previously the levelers now work flawlessly. By the way I did contact Equalizer before I added the CAT fluid.

Probably not going to be of any help. I have a 2018.5 Seneca 37HJ. Mine is located about halfway back on the left frame rail.

I asked equalizer about this and their first recommendation was to go through the process of purging air from the system. Unfortunately for that I need to find some place level since it requires you to lift the entire coach off of the ground which of course we know is risky in and of itself.
