Wind noise

We picked up our 2016 37 HJ in Arkansas and drove it back to Virginia. What a joy to drive. However the wind noise in the cab is a problem. Someone had suggested taping or pluging holes. I'm not seeing the holes just the bolts holding the mirrors on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wind noise

Most Auto manufacturers go to great lengths to reduce or eliminate wind noise. Things such as a fender, door or window misalignment can make lots of noise at 60mph. Some use 2 door seals, an inner and outer which make the gap between panels sealed. Flush trim pieces like windshield seals are used. Sound deadening foam and rubber insulation are used also.
Not saying it can't be improved by the owner somewhat, but for what it is, it's probably going to be noisy especially if you are comparing it to a passenger car or truck.

The “holes” are the dents in the plastic brackets where the bolts attach the brackets to the doors. These area create a whistling noise when driving at higher speeds. Putting tape or plugging these eliminates this howling whistle noise. Others have found the freightliner chassis doors need adjustment.

Here’s the plugs I used

I found these on Amazon they fit nice and tight I put a little black silicone on them to help hold them in place. Makes a big difference in the noise.
