2017 26bh fridge issue

Norcold fridge wiring seems to have been disconnected (unsure if intentional or what). I have a yellow solid wire and a yellow/white striped wire but unsure how to determine which one is the ground. We had a bumpy trip through the great state of Illinois and the fridge hasn’t worked since and we noticed these were disconnected when looking into potential issues. Can someone tell me how to check the voltage on these wires to reconnect them or a pic of theirs to aid in correctly hooking these back up? This likely isn’t the only problem but at least a start to further investigation.

Do you have the frig model number, someone can look up and maybe locate an electrical diagram for that model

N811 is the model #. I looked in the manual but it only differentiated between ground and 12v, no indication of the wire colors and the wires aren’t labeled either

Here is pic of my Norcold. The colors are different. White is gnd and the colored wire with a stripe is 12vdc.

With the power on, the one with 12vdc to ground would be the one to plug into the 12v input spade plug. Give the connector a squeeze with a pair of needle nose pliers to make it more secure.

Thank you- I’ve hooked them back up with the assumption that the solid wire is ground and the other is neutral, however that does not seem to be making a difference. No power to the fridge at all according to the fridge panel. It’s almost like the connections are loose as they aren’t catching to keep secured.

Lol agreed. This is our first camper and it’s been a learning experience for sure. Already contacted dealer for warranty and they’re backed up til October which is when we have it scheduled to be taken in. Was hoping it was an easy fix so figured I’d ask here. Thanks everyone

Pull the cover next to those wires and check the fuses on the board, most seem to have two

Checked and they both appear to be fine. On a side note, we did have to replace a fuse for the electric tongue jack due to me raising it to high; would there be a fuse further down the line that could have been affected causing the fridge to not have power?

Did you verify 12vdc going into the unit on the wire you reconnected?

Hopefully someone with the same unit can help.

You should have a schematic with your manual and also in the back compartment there is a schematic. If it came off a connection then that connection should be visible. Also check your fuses for open contact.

Make sure you use slow-blow fuses on the jack, this helps if you hit the stop and the motor surges, the fuse wont blow so fast. Check the mail electric panel, should be a normal circuit breaker, flip it off then back on, also check the small 12v car type fuse in the panel, should be one for the frig, it wont work without 12v to the board

I haven’t but that’d make sense. I’m not very electric savvy so I’ll have to research how to test it.

I did check the breaker box inside the camper and reset it and also checked the fuse inside which appears to be fine. The power awning uses the same fuse and works so I’m kind of at a loss.

Looks like they both go on the 12vdc connection on the outside lug.
