23RL is nearly the same as my 245RLW STX 2017
Same floor plan.

It's ok I suppose......cheap parts/lackluster workmanship.

Jack knife sofa is a piece of xxx...
.Curved shower surround always popped out of the track.
OEM Sealy mattress grew a canyon down the center.
Under bed supports cracked and sagged.
Jack knife sofa screw attachments to the flooring pulled out
Dinette seat back screws pulled out.

Starboard spring pack went flat.(well below max weight)...no support on that side.
Black water tank drains very slow......(never had one piece of paper in it)
2 of the 3 burners on the stove would not lite off.
Tankage indicator lights are way off.

Maybe a Jay Feather is an upgrade from an SLX....

Called Jayco about the spring packs flat......once they learned I was in Mexico....warranty denied!! Told me to tow it 700 miles to the nearest Jayco dealer.......on a flat spring pack?...are you serious?.....denied.

Nice size..manageable.....light weight....tows nice...

We've had our 23RL about 3 weeks now. So far, no MAJOR problems. It is small, but that's what my husband and I needed. There is only about 6" from the foot of the bed to the wall...definitely requires some "sliding through".

We do have an air leak at the head of the bed that's going to require some additional insulation on our part.

Thus far, everything else seems to be working well. I did have my dealer add an "old lady" fold out handle for the door (for the grandkids who aren't tall enough to get in); that was done very poorly and is going to have to be repaired.

We like the floor plan of the RL very much; it's definitely worth a second look on your part!

Search here for 23RLSW; apparently Jayco changed the model number to 23RL this year. You'll find lots of reports/reviews, most of them pretty good. Including mine.

Having said that, as with ANY travel trailer you can also expect some minor issues, because it gets bumped and shaken while driving, which makes some things come loose. I check plumbing connections several times each season, for example. It's a nice little floor plan for 2 people. FWIW, we replaced our original mattress; think it was a Zinus. That's been a huge improvement.
